About Us
The Home Place is owned and operated by the Dowell family, who began business
in the early 1980's with Dowell Water Well Service. By the early 1990's, they
had opened a small hardware store just outside the city limits of Stephenville,
Texas. In 2001, the business moved to its current location, and the Home Place
was opened adjacent to the hardware store. It has since become the go-to place
for homewares, wedding registries, and gifts. Whether you are shopping for yourself, a
special someone, or buying for a bridal, baby or housewarming registry, our staff is ready to
assist you.
Our Services
Wedding Registry:
After you pick out your items-We set up your registry table, put your registry online, and wrap all gifts in your wedding colors! We can feature you on our Facebook page so you can share your registry with all of your friends and family! We also do Baby Shower's, Housewarming, and Any-Occassion Registry's!Gift Wrapping:
We offer free gift bags and tissue paper with purchase for everyday gift giving! We can also wrap your gift in paper and a bow!Simply leave your purchase with us and we will wrap it in your specified colors!
